You must forgive my preoccupation with delicious food and wine, but we are about to be buried under a foot of snow so I take it that it is OK to make necessary provision! That said maybe we won't be - the weather forecasters are terribly unreliable. But anyway its good to know that we have the excellent Pastoral opposite our offices on Chicago's Lake Street.
I referred to the original store last Saturday, the one in our neighborhood. But the one above is doing gang busters downtown; in fact it seems to be the only decent place to buy food of any kind in that part of the Loop, so given the substantial influx of residents to condos around us in the last few years it is hardly surprising that they are doing well.
A quiet day in the office on the whole. Some useful time spent on casting for 2011 and scheduling for 2012. All this kind of thing is done best gradually during the time of comparative leisure that we still have at this time of the year.
