This final stage of our budgeting process for 2011 in a swiftly changing environment is a pain in the neck for all. Quick responses in this advance planning kind of work that is opera is something of a nightmare! But all companies are having to do it - no bailouts from the taxpayers for us. And no donations yet from Goldman Sachs and Co either.
Meanwhile the shift from exclusively subscription sales to single tickets for our 2010 season is around the corner. Those of you out there who have not yet subscribed will lose out on the best seats unless you get in there now. So do the right thing - the right thing for you is the right thing for us. You know I don't plug COT sales very often - just trying to be helpful to my forgetful readers!
There will be a change in pace in my life for a week from tomorrow - this will be a completely new ball game. Watch out for news of that tomorrow.
