One of my favorite daily reads is Alex Ross of the New Yorker and The Rest is Noise. He has decided just to go quiet at this time of the year and he wont be back "at least until September". Well that is tomorrow at the earliest and I guess he may take a few extra days off, sensible fellow that he is.
I am sure that I am not alone in looking forward to Listen to This, his new book which is due out at the end of September. I am certain it will be flying off the shelves or, more likely, out of the Amazon warehouse.
Meanwhile he is recognizing that there is not a lot happening around our particular world that is worth writing about just now. But I have some excitements in store next month that I look forward to "sharing with you" (as they say).
It is now 90 degrees outside. I am am off home.

Alex Ross is "curating" a concert for the Australian Chamber Orchestra in March. Nice idea.
