The Moscow Cheryomushki company assembled for the first downbeat 9:58am Sunday March 18
We got started with the ensemble yesterday and the principals all started today, all on time and ready to go. I was dodn in the Fine Arts Building this morning in time for the 10:00 start - the moment of truth after a couple of years of planning, and alwayts an exciting momrent when one discovers whether one's instincts have prevailed successfully! I am pretty pleased with this wonderful group of people. We have begun a journey together which I feel sure is going to bring pleasure to all involved - and one hopes to the audience as well!
So off we go - meanwhile I will have Mike Donahue, the director of the production, and a few others for supper this evening. I am proposing to concoct a jambalaya for them........
