It was another of those amazing days here in Chicago - and warm too. I went out this afternoon after an excellent morning getting stuff done at home, things that have been languishing neglected for weeks. I am far from up to date but getting there.
It has been a peaceful weekend. There is likely to be a contrast next week end since the NATO summit is coming to town. There have been dire warnings of disruption but it will probably pass quietly enough in the end. But we will close the office next Friday and the following Monday. We are told that getting around will be a pain in the neck. So work from home willl be the answer..........
But back to today - Chicagoans are happy to greet the spring, with a spring in their steps. The runners are running along the lakeshore pathway, and the boaters are boating. I fancy it will be like this now for the next almost five months - unless of course we pay the price for an unusually benign winter.
