I had a good morning in the office but we closed up at 1pm - in time for lunch in my "local" - the Elephant and Castle. I then had an hour walkabout the Loop and Millennium Park before meeting up with my board president at the University Club. If you smoke cigars Iwan Ries is the place to go - unique, and the oldest tobacco shop in the US.
But you can not smoke them in the Art Institute where there is a Roy Lichtenstein retrospective opening on May 22. This will surely be massively popular and alone worth the price of membership.

It has been a glorious day here with the temperature up in the 70s and the crowds out to enjoy the delights of Millennium Park. Maybe the spring really has arrived. We thought it was here in January - and so did the daffodils and tulips......lets hope that we are in for a lovely Memorial Day weekend at the end of the month, and then the extended sybaritic pleasures of the Chicago summer. Millennium Park will provide fun for all the family!
