With the final rehearsals of Bohème yesterday and Beethoven 9 today there is nothing left to rehearse other than A Little Night Music. But since it opens a week today it will still be a hard few days coming up - and there are performances of Carmen tonight and Sunday, and the Beethoven and Bohème tomorrow, to take care of a good deal of the remaining time.
So Dorothy Danner, whom you see above rehearsing this afternoon in the excellent large rehearsal room next to the Festival Theatre, will be exercising her infinite patience for a few more days yet.
And the Castleton young artists, a handful of whom you see left, are keeping on their toes. And somehow they are also managing to fit in some time with me.
There is also the additional distraction of the Wimbledon finals tomorrow and Sunday.
I hope to get some nice pictures of this production once it gets onto the stage next week.
