It has been a bright crisp day here in Gütersloh - I arrived around noon after an early 4:30 wake up call in London.......the hotel garden is looking pretty in its autumn colours and that has cheered us up. There is a shadow over the day with the death in Dresden this morning of Gütersloh native, Hans Werner Henze at the age of 86. A long and productive life.
This evening we have a concert with all the participants in the Masterclasses which have been conducted this week by Edda Moser, Francico Araiza and Gustav Kuhn. It will be a great opportunity for me to catch up with some of last years participants in the Neue Stimmen finals. I will report on that tomorrow morning.
I had a quick chilly walk around town this afternoon. Nothing much changes here, but it is looking lovely on a day like this.
