It was great to see two of the star singers' managers at lunch today. IMG and Intermusica are two of the very best. IMG Artists is a huge international operation but their vocal department in London is slimmer than it was when the legendary Tom Graham was running it. Nevertheless it remains a force to be reckoned with, and Stefania Almansi is very widely respected. And Intermusica's vocal department continues with a strong presence under the wise and experienced leadership of Julia Maynard.
The rains have come and maybe winter approaches. I have a quiet family weekend and a very busy calendar next week. Meanwhile I have started my brief history of COT 1999-2012 the first instalment you will see here on Wednesday, and every Wednesday for 13 weeeks. I am already having fun with this!
