I am here in Villeneuve-Loubet enjoying a very different pace of life for these few days. The village of Villeneuve-Loubet, birthplace of Escoffier, carries on at a leisurely pace. Above you see the central square at around noon today – not exactly bustling.
This afternoon I will be popping over to Monte Carlo to attend some of Errol Girdlestone’s Messiah rehearsal. But I got up at 3 am today to get here and am beginning to feel that the “some” may not be so much! But it is a lovely afternoon to drive along the Basse Corniche, through Nice and Villefranche-sur-Mer to Monaco. I spent three very happy years living here from 1994-97 so it is nice to be back.
That is all for now – there will be more news over the weekend!
