It is damp, cold but not freezing, dark, depressing! But London is London after all. I am looking forward to seeing our old (actually rather young) friend Brad Vernatter, sometime Production Manager of Chicago Opera Theater, and ongoing in the same capacity at the Wexford Festival.
We will be having dinner this evening in a lovely pub in Hampstead - the Holly Bush. It is a bit of a hike from home, but Hampstead is a delightful part of London so it will be treat to have a really good reason to get up there.
And speaking of Wexford - put the dates of this year's fascinating festival in your diaries. October 23 - November 3. For you collectors of the rare breeds of opera, and fans of travelling to out of the way places, there is no more interesting package in the world than Wexford. As you can see below its a really pretty place.....
