It has been a totally miserable day here......Porto might look pretty in the snow but this was non stop rain. Not good! And so the wonderful little restaurants near to the Port lodges on the Gaia side of the Douro were full of lingering lunchers reluctant to go back out into the stormy weather. And a visit to Ramos Pinto, an unfamiliar name compared to Taylor, Warre, Graham, and Dow, was another opportunity to shelter.
I wish I could stay here until the sun comes out........but back to London tomorrow after what has nevertheless been a refreshing three days in this enchanting place.
