The sunshine today beckoned outside into the crisp cold London January, so a visit to Tate Modern was the choice. The Lichtenstein exhibition which I saw in Chicago last year arrives here in February. Meanwhile A Bigger Splash is the special show. Bizarrre and fascinating and worth the trip, it is there until the end of March.
The converted Bankside Power Station, another fine building by Giles Gilbert Scott to put beside the Battersea Power Station further up river, was brilliantly converted to become Tate Modern and opened in its new guise in 2000. It is now one of the most popular museums in the world, helped along in no small way by the Millennium Bridge from St Paul's Cathedral.
