St Peters Church, Belsize Park 2:00 pm March 29 2012
I am spending these five days in Belsize Park, an attractive quiet neighborhood which is served by the Jubilee line at Swiss Cottage and therefore a very easy 15 minute ride from the center of things. London is looking particularly pretty today with the recent warm weather having enabled all the blossoms to burst out. And although there are considerable crowds of tourists in this city all year March is a good time to be here - and certainly preferable to the steamy prospect of July/August when the Olympic Games hoards will make the city impossible to get around.
I had to pass through Westminster on one of my errands today - below you have the Thames and the Eye from Westminster Bridge.
Tomorrow I will be spending the evening with Maria Callas and Master Class - Stephen Wadsworth's production with Tyne Daly as the diva is playing in the West End. I am never far from opera........!
